Kristen Johnson
Kristen is best known for her smart, elegant print designs. Having spent her entire working life in the field of design, she has not only built a strong sense of style, but a practical knack for knowing what works. Her 18-year career as a designer has spanned the fields of theatre, film and television, exhibits, interiors and events, and throughout that time, graphic design has always emerged as her core strength and interest.
In 2006, after working as art director on the hit series, The L Word, Kristen left the film industry to pursue a formal career in graphic design. She quickly connected with TBA Global, a US-based marketing firm and started working with large corporate brands. She has worked on campaigns, pitches and events for companies including T-Mobile, Samsung, BP and Coca-Cola.
During the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, Kristen was, among other things, the art director for the exhibit portion of the Canada Pavilion, ensuring a clean, consistent look throughout all the media.
She still stays in touch with her theatre roots by designing promotional materials for a number of Vancouver-based theatre companies. Over the years of her varied career, Kristen has consistently honed her skills and developed a clean, distinctive design aesthetic. With a strong sense of professionalism, she delivers effective designs that make sense and look great.
